Introduction
Everton are aiming to hit the FA Cup quarter-finals for the first time since 2015-16. The Toffees have lost their last four ties against their opponents. On the other hand, Everton have beaten Spurs 10/15 times in the FA cup.
Tottenham have not lost consecutive meetings with Everton in all competitions since December 2012. Although since 1985-86, they have not lost twice to the Toffees in the same season.
This season, James Rodríguez has provided help for three of Everton’s five FA Cup goals. Interestingly enough, all five goals scored by Everton so far in the FA cup have been by different players.

Head to Head

Tottenham Hotspur have a strong record against Everton and have won 68 matches out of 180. Everton managed 56 wins over Spurs and this week he’s going to want to slash the deficit.
In the Premier League last year, the previous meeting between the two teams took place and resulted in a narrow 1-0 win for Everton. The only goal of the match on the day was scored by Dominic Calvert-Lewin and will definitely play a crucial role in this match.

Build Up
Everton:
Everton have a good history in the FA cup. Unfortunately, they’ve failed to qualify for the quarter-final since 16-17. Ancelotti’s squad is good but probably not good enough. The current squad does not hold a candle to his previous teams. These are European football giants. Despite their current form, they have history on their side.
Tottenham:
Tottenham are a team in need of silverware. Firing Pochettino was a questionable decision last season. To make matters worse, Mourinho hasn’t done too well to take his place. The Portuguese special one has struggled considerably in his campaign so far. To his credit, the Spurs have a berth in the Carabao Cup final this year. Unfortunately, that may not be enough to secure his job in London.
Players to Watch Out For-
Son-

Win, lose, or tie, you cannot hate Ming Son. His acrobatics have been too good this season. He scored a great goal in his last game to give his team a convincing win. His consistency has been one of the few positives about Tottenham this season. Surely, his game will be crucial to the outcome.
Kane-
No one links up in an attack better than Kane. The dynamic duo of him and Son have threatened teams all around. Unfortunately, we may not see him back to his best. His recent return from injury raises a few doubts about his current form. If he does fin it though, he alone can sink Everton on a good day.
Calvert Lewin-

This man had a sensational start to the season. His form has since dipped but he is getting close once again. A couple of games ago, he ended a substantial goal drought. Moreover, his brilliant last-minute equalizer against United was too good to be true. When in form, he can threaten like no other.
James Rodriguez-

James’s life at Everton has been downright decent so far. His performances have been good but people expect greater things from the Colombian. He too scored a beauty in their last game against United to level things up. Looking at his FA cup form, he can surely do a lot of damage to a strong Tottenham side.
Conclusion
Overall, both teams have shown plenty of promise this season. Tottenham needs this win in order to give themselves hope of a successful season. On the other hand, Everton will want to show the world that it’s time to take them seriously. Ancelotti’s project is a big one and should start delivering any day now. Regardless, it is certainly going to be a thriller and we for one can’t wait to watch this one!
