FPL Gameweek 7 : Top 5 Picks

The Premier League is back with its gameweek 7, with yet another entertaining set of fixtures to be played at the weekend. At the top of the table, the teams have been too close to separate with Liverpool leading the table by a point over the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Brighton, and Everton.

As the PL is back, so is the Fantasy Premier League. After the completion of 6 game weeks, Fantasy managers have now had an idea of whom to target in the season and who the disappointments are.

Here we are with the top 5 picks for Gameweek 7

Romelu Lukaku

The Belgian forward has become a vital cog of Chelsea’s attack after his move from Inter Milan. His hold-up plays and physical abilities have helped Chelsea to add another aspect to their stacked attack. The forward has already scored 3 goals this season and looks set for more.

Chelsea’s fixtures from Gameweek 7 take a turn for good. The Blues’ next 6 fixtures are all with an FDR of 3 or less. Lukaku being at the center of Chelsea’s attack is a must-have in your FPL team. Southampton has not been at their best defensively, so a Lukaku haul looks possible for this weekend.

Michail Antonio

Michail Antonio has been one of the breakthrough stars of this season. Although a seasoned Premier League player, Antonio has been enjoying life in the PL as never before. Antonio, a major reason for West Ham’s good start to the season has surely become a set and forget in FPL this season. His price has already seen a rise of 0.5 million in just 6 game weeks, so it is better to take him now before it rises again.

The match against Brentford at home is yet another chance for Antonio to add to his 5 goals and 4 assists. Brentford, as seen against Liverpool will leave gaps behind which Antonio can capitalize on. Antonio, along with being one of the Top 5 picks for this gameweek, can also be considered as one of the differential captains.

Ismaila Sarr

Ismaila Sarr has enjoyed a decent run to the Premier League after promotion from the Championship. The midfielder has been one of the bright sparks of Watford, who are yet to establish themselves as a side in the Premier League. The midfielder has scored 4 goals this season being the main attacking threat of Watford’s attack.

The match against injury-hit Leeds United provides yet another chance for Sarr to extend his goalscoring run. The midfielder has become a popular pick in recent weeks with current ownership of 17.1%.

Emile Smith Rowe

The Hale Academy youngster and Arsenal’s current number ran the show against their North-London rivals Spurs to lead Arsenal to a 3-1 win. The youngster got a goal and an assist, which was his first this season. After a rocky start to the season, Arsenal has recovered and has a decent fixture run-in until early November.

Smith-Rowe has become one of the key players on Arteta’s side and could be a great differential option in FPL. Priced at only 5.3 million, Smith-Rowe looks likely to get points again this gameweek against Brighton.

Marcos Alonso

The Spaniard, Marcos Alonso has had a revelation of sorts since Thomas Tuchel came in. Starting ahead of Chilwell in the left-back position, Alonso has had a great start to the season. With 1 assist and a goal to add to 4 clean sheets, Alonso looks one of the must-haves in FPL.

With a decent run of fixtures ahead of Chelsea, Alonso will be a great asset to have in the FPL team owing to his attacking returns and Chelsea’s defensive abilities as a whole.
