Introduction
It’s been a riveting competition so far with the reigning champions of England, Liverpool leading the title race. Brendon Rodgers’ Leicester City trailing by 4 points. Manchester United seem to have regained their lost form with the red devils winning 4 of their last 5 PL matches. Jose Mourinho’s side lost their lead in the table after back-to-back losses cost them their pole position. We are now approaching that part of the Premier League where the league table starts taking shape. Also starts becoming more predictable for the fans to analyze who is likely to dominate. Lots of talking points about the players as well so without further ado, let’s discuss this week’s squad. This gameweek is the Boxing Day game week.

GOALKEEPER
Emi Martinez (VILLA- £4.8)
The Argentinian has now 3 clean sheets in his last 3 games. And this week, Aston Villa look set to play against Crystal Palace, a team that has been in an inconsistent form of late. Although Wilfried Zaha remains a threat, it’s safe to assume that the Lions will be dominating the match. Less likely for Villa to lose but hoping that they will at least maintain a clean sheet this week.

DEFENDERS FOR FPL TEAM
Ruben Dias (MCI- £5.7)
He was the reason why Southampton couldn’t score against Man City last week. The Portuguese defender ensures a clean sheet for Man City against their win over the Saints. Foiling most attempts and making 3 crucial blocks, he surely earned the bonus points in last week’s FPL. This week Man City faces Newcastle; an easy fixture on-paper albeit Callum Wilson remains a threat. Nonetheless, high hopes from the Cityzens and Dias.
Yerry Mina (EVE- £5.5)

The Colombian defender has been a key asset in Carlo Ancelotti’s side of late. The defender has displayed a praiseworthy performance in his last 3 PL fixtures; all resulting in wins. Mina scored the winner against Arsenal last week; 2nd goal of the season. His recent top-notch performance makes us anticipate that Ancelotti will start him this week against Sheffield Utd as well. Although a gamble, we suggest Yerry Mina be in this week’s FPL squad.
Andy Robertson (LIV- £7.3)
Normally we don’t recommend expensive defenders, but given Liverpool’s fixture this week against West Brom, he is a player that is a must to have. The Scottish fullback has been busy providing assists to his fellow forwards. 2 assists in his last 2 matches and 5 assists in total so far, no chance he would underperform this week against a team that is least likely to survive relegation.
MIDFIELDERS FOR FPL TEAM
Jack Harrison (LEE- £5.4)
Leeds fancy their chances of winning against Burnley this week and this young talent has been rising on occasions for the Whites. With a goal and an assist in his last 2 games, he is a playmaker in his team that delivers when in the mood. Fancy having him in this week’s FPL.

Heung-Min Son (TOT- £9.5)
Tottenham failed to win their last 2 matches, but we cant expect Jose’s men to lose a third in a row. Fancying Spurs to win against Wolves this weekend, Son is the man that can make it happen (alongside skipper Harry Kane of course).
James Ward-Prowse (SOU- £6.3)
The Saints will play against Fulham this week. An important fixture as 3 points this weekend will keep them in the top 4 battle. Southampton has impressed many critics and pundits with their performance with 7 points out of a possible 12. Much better than their performance this day last year where they were 13th on the table. We fancy their freekick specialist to step up and help his side bag all 3 points this weekend especially in absence of their talisman Ings.
Pedro Neto (WOL- £5.9)
Though Spurs are the favorites to win this weekend’s fixture, this particular individual has shown just how pivotal he can be when in the mood. So far he has scored 4 goals and bagged 3 assists for his club. He just might rise to the occasion this weekend. A big fixture for both the clubs.
Mo Salah (LIV- £12.5) (CAPTAIN PICK )

4 goals and 1 assist for the Egyptian in his last 3 games. He is in a fiery form and against an underdog, he might bag the match ball along with 3 points. A must-have for this week. A captain contender.
FORWARDS FOR FPL TEAM
Patrick Bamford (LEE- £6.4)
A devastating game last week against Man Utd for Leeds but this week they play Burnley. A chance to make up for lost ground. Bamford is the lead striker for his team. 9 goals and 3 assists so far which is quite impressive for a newly promoted team. Bamford will have a handful of chances this weekend and we fancy him contributing in atleast one goal this week.

Jamie Vardy (LEI- £10.2)
2 goals and 3 assists in his last 3 games, seems like Vardy has regained his form back. His performance speaks for him, no doubt why he should be in this week’s FPL squad. We fancy him scoring a goal at the very least this weekend against Man Utd.
