Getafe F.C. host Sevilla F.C. in the Match day 02 of the La Liga Santander. Sevilla comes into this game having impressed a majority of people over the last year and obviously as the better-poised side to win.
The home side led by ex-Real Madrid Midfielder Michel will be looking to make amends this season, after having a vastly disappointing season last year, where they finished only 15th, just 4 points clear of the relegation zone.
Getafe had earned the vast majority of attention after their return to the Spanish top flight in 2017, wherein they finished eighth, fifth, and eighth in three consecutive seasons respectively.
Sevilla on the other hand had given constant performances all throughout and finished the 2020 – 2021 La Liga season in 4th place, just 2 points below F.C. Barcelona on 3rd.
Sevilla will travel to the Madrid-based outfit hoping to make it 2 wins in 2 and hence obtaining a good position on the table early on, in a time when both Real Madrid and F.C. Barcelona dropped points.
Julien Lopetigui led Sevilla eased their way past Rayo Vallecano in the opening fixture of La Liga 2021 – 2022 season, scoring 3 and conceding none. The Andalusian outfit won credits to a goal from the man in red hot form Youssef En – Neysri and 2 goals by the new summer addition Eric Lamela.
Getafe meanwhile, lost their opening fixture against Valencia were in a first-half penalty by Carlos Soler was enough to seal the deal for the win for Valencia.

Team News
Getafe
Sabit Abdulai sits out for this match due to a knee injury, but the home side will be boosted by the availability of Erick Cabaco, whose red card vs. Valencia has been overturned. Timor and Nyom also return to the squad, which gives Michel a boost. With Marc Cucurella being linked with a move away, it won’t be a surprise if he is left out. Carles Alena, Vitolo, Sandro, and Enes Unai will be looking to feature in the match.
Sevilla
Lucas Ocampos and Oliver Torres are still absent for the traveling side due to their injuries, while there are doubts over Bono, Suso, and Ivan Rakitic after they recently tested positive for the Corona Virus. Barring these, Julien Lopetigui has a full squad for deployment which may well be enough to do the job.
