Introduction
When Spurs sacked Mauricio Pochettino in November 2019, eyebrows were raised. Despite the team languishing at 14th in the league, just months after reaching the UEFA Champions League final for the first time in the club’s prestigious history. However, more eyebrows were raised a few days later when Jose Mourinho got announced as the new head coach.

But the Portuguese icon of the game hasn’t had an easy start to life at N17. Despite the manager spending big in the summer on instant fan favourites. Among them Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Rodon and Sergio Reguilion from Southampton, Swansea and Real Madrid respectively. He also snapped up ex-loanee Giovanni Lo Celso. There were a few failed ideas in the transfer department- Gareth Bale being the biggest. Today, we’re going to look at Spurs’ decline.

Results of matches in premier league
Out of their first 10 premier league games they only lost two matches and tied 2 matches. So to sum up: out of 10 matches they lost 2, drew 2 and won the remaining. This includes a 6-1 win over Manchester United. Also a 2-0 win over Man City who are currently sitting at first positions of the premier league table. From the start of a new season till mid December they played really well. They had two squads and both the teams were bringing wins and goals for Jose Mourinho.
But if you compare the results now you would be surprised. In their last 10 premier league games they managed to lose 5 matches they drew 2 matches and won only 3.
What happened to Spurs ?
Spurs won 6 matches in the start of the league. They are winning only 3 matches now out of 10.

2)Sergio Reguillon who plays in Left-Back ages 24. Who suffers from a Muscle Injury on Jan 27, 2021, and will be out for 21 days..!
3)Serge Aurier who plays in Right-Back ages 28. He suffers from Foot Injury since Feb 7, 2021and his returning date hasn’t come, till now he has missed 4 days and 2 games.
Is Tottenham Hotspur losing because they have injured player’s?
We don’t think so. In the start they had two squads which gave Mourinho wins and goals.
So what is the problem?
Despite having so many players Jose is contemplating whom to play and whom to not. Everyone on the team wants a chance to play and prove themselves. But Jose is confused about who to give a chance to. A player like Gareth bale is sitting on the bench.

He came to play in Tottenham Hotspur and if you wanna see his magic again it could be a long wait. They should attack more, they should not park the bus after 2 to 3 goals. They should park the bus in the last minutes of the game.
Conclusion
Is it really Jose’s fault? One may argue that his park bus tactics are outdated. But considering that 87% of the goals given up in all competitions under Jose Mourinho it’s different. These have been from either individual errors or set pieces. It seems that the ex-Chelsea, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Inter Milan coach is just unlucky.
