FPL GAMEWEEK 4 TEAM SELECTION

The Premier League is back again this weekend after a mini international break spanning over only two weeks in which the 2022 WC qualifiers were held continentally. The FPL team-makers are back into the business once again to sort out their most preferred squad before the deadline ends. The return of several players into many teams of the PL before the transfer window ended was also worth mentionable. Last, to last week, the results were a bit expected and only a few of them were a bit unusual. Manchester City smashed Arsenal 5-0 at home which further deepened the crisis at the London club. Villa was held to a disappointing 1-1 draw to Brentford and it was a bit unexpected, to be honest. Other than these two, all other fixtures remained on as usual.

The previous weekend too was a low-scoring one as two of the most popular captain picks returned home with not much in the bag. Our most preferred team by BTM’s FPL experts got 70 points. Now this week, after the Internationals are over, we will be creating a squad that will earn you the maximum possible points. Keeping every aspect in mind here goes out our most preferred team for the weekend-

GOALKEEPERS FOR FPL

Roberto Sanchez ( Brighton and Hove Albion ) Value – £ 4.5 M

The Brighton shot-stopper has been a revelation at the start of this season. He is one of the most popular choices now with an affordable cheap price going his way. In the previous three-game weeks, he has returned with 10 points which are quite appreciable for a goalkeeper. Sanchez also kept a clean sheet last to last week in their outing against Watford. Now, this week he has a comparatively easy fixture. Against Brentford, he would be looking to continue his excellent performance between the sticks and earn a good amount of points.

DEFENDERS FOR FPL

Luke Shaw ( Manchester United) Value – £5.5 M

The Englishman was potentially the best-left back in the Premier League last year. He has started this season at quite a slow pace but we expect him to return to his scoring days soon. It’s almost impractical to make an FPL team without this guy. We all know what he can do when he returns to form.  Shaw is facing Newcastle this weekend and there can’t be a better stage to put up a good performance. Definitely, he can earn many points if he remains in form.

Digne and Shaw (FPL Defenders)
Digne (Everton) and Shaw (United)

Lucas Digne ( Everton) Value – £5.4 M

The Frenchman has been in excellent form for the Toffees since last season and is gearing up for another one. He is a class left-back with an eye for goals as well as taking inch-perfect set pieces. He has had a good last Gameweek with 6 points in the bag. Everton is playing against Burnley this weekend and it can be hoped Digne puts up a solid show on display. If he continues his rich vein of form, he is not gonna disappoint fpl team makers.

Sergio Reguilón ( Tottenham Hotspur) Value – £5.2 M

The former Real Madrid man has been outstanding for the North Londoners since the start of the new season. He is probably the best left-back in the league now after Marcos Alonso. Over the past three gameweeks, the Spaniard has earned a whopping 22 points. He is second in the list of most points-earning defenders of the league. His attacking intent coupled with good defensive attributes is quite valuable for the Spurs. Reguilón is up against Newcastle tomorrow and we hope that he comes back with decent points scored.

MIDFIELDERS FOR FPL

Mason Greenwood (Man Utd) Value – £7.7 M

The United teenager is in the form of his life for the Red devils right from when the season started. He has got himself off to a dream start in the league scoring 3 goals in as many appearances. He is perhaps the most exciting young prospect now in the whole united team. His finishing and ball controlling skills are a delight to watch. He has earned the joint second highest points for a midfielder with 26 points in his kitty. In such red hot form, Greenwood will be looking to increase the tally once more when his side clashes with Newcastle. We hope that he won’t disappoint the FPL team makers.

Saïd Benrahma ( West Ham United) Value – £6.3 M

The Algerian has been the top performer in this PL season till now with some eye-catching displays. He has been the biggest find for Westham carrying his excellent form since the preseason. Benrahma has already scored 2 goals and 2 assists in 3 games for the Hammers. As expected, he has earned the second most number of points among the players with 26 points in his bag. Westham is facing Southampton in their away ground and Benrahma would be eagerly waiting to deliver some exceptional performance again.

Mohammed Salah ( Liverpool) Value – £12.5 M

Salah was the undisputed star of the Liverpool attack as well as of the FPL 2020-21 squad. He was lethal in the attack for the Reds and also played an instrumental part in building attacks for them. The Egyptian has already recorded 2 goals and 2 assists to his name in only 3 matches. He is still the highest-scoring midfielder till now with 30 points in his bag.  Nevertheless taking Salah in your fantasy team always puts you in the safe zone of having guaranteed points. After having 1-2 quiet outings, the Liverpool heartthrob is tipped to return to form again with LeedsUnited up next for him.

Salah and Jota (Liverpool)
Salah and Jota (Liverpool)

Diogo Jota ( Liverpool) Value – £7.6 M

Carrying on from his Euros form, Diogo Jota has started to show it up on the Liverpool Jersey. He has already scored 2 goals for the Reds in three appearances. Jota has been one of the picks of the midfielders collecting 17 points in 3 matches. He is the one to have aptly taken the place of Firmino in the squad and showing consistency now. He has been able to rediscover his lost form and now looking deadly. Jota’ll be facing a relatively weaker Leeds defense on Sunday and he’s anticipated to return with a fair amount of points.

Demarai Gray ( Everton) Value – £5.6 M

Gray has joined Everton only recently in this transfer window from Bayer Leverkusen and has been performing well since then. He has caught the eye of everyone watching PL with his excellent performances for the Toffees. In the only three appearances he made, he has got two goals to his name. Undoubtedly, he is a great young sensation and is destined to succeed in the coming days. Against Burnley on Monday, Gray would certainly be hungry to score more and give more points to us.

FORWARDS FOR FPL

Michail Antonio ( West Ham) Value – £ 7.7 M

The Englishman is in swashbuckling form for the Hammers right from the first match. He has started just from where he has ended the last season. In only three matches, he has bagged a whopping 4 goals and 4 assists for his side. In the three-match weeks, he is the top earner among all the players with 40 points. He is Moyes’s main man when it comes to providing goals for the team upfront. We fancy his high chances of scoring against Southampton and award us a high number of points.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd) Value – £12.5 M

One of the greatest footballers to have ever played the game of football, Sir Alex Ferguson’s scouted talent, Cristiano Ronaldo, has made a sensational comeback to Old Trafford in this transfer window. He has already made his intentions clear to play for the RedDevils and help his side with his goalscoring abilities. Though aged 36, this man is as lively as before and pounces on every opportunity that comes in the penalty box. He is a fox in the box and also has insane heading skills. Whenever he plays for any team, the opposition defense always experiences shakiness in keeping him at bay. No wonder that he will be a wonderful addition to an already star-studded United squad.

He will be definitely aiming to open his goalscoring account yet again in the premier league in his second debut. What can be a more pleasing sight for the fans than watch this legend score again at his own home after a long wait of 12 years!! We highly expect him to score against Newcastle tomorrow night and give us a handful amount of points.
