INTRODUCTION
Three teams maintain their perfect record. As Premier League begins to take shape and the teams look more determined to secure their targeted spots. Leicester City finished Matchweek 3 on top of the table followed by the Merseyside teams, Everton and Liverpool. Arsenal was handed their first defeat this season by the reigning champs last week. As Jurgen Klopp’s side overcame a 1-0 deficit with 3 absolutely stunning goals showing the signs of true defending champions. Aston Villa is in remarkable form as they maintained yet another clean sheet and bagged all 3 points against Fulham. Seem like after their acquisition of goalkeeper Emi Martinez, they found the missing piece of their defensive puzzle. Many interesting takeaways from this week as we see which squad would be optimum this week.
GOALKEEPERS:
Emi Martinez (AST- £4.6): 2 out of 2 clean sheets for the Argentine goalie in the Premier League so far. Aston Villa’s #26 has proved to be an important asset yet again. An amazing display against Fulham last week, Aston Villa successfully clinched all 3 points and the defence was held at high praise, especially the goalkeeper. Martinez earned 6 pts last week but their next opponent is the champions themselves, Liverpool. His skills will be put to test with Liverpool’s front 3 and their attacking wing-backs aiding the offence. Nonetheless adding him would be a gamble but if he performs well, he is surely getting all the pts.
Alisson (LIV- £6): The Brazilian keeper ensured all 3 points for Liverpool last week by denying multiple 1-on-1 chances against Arsenal’s #9 Alexander Lacazette. Alisson conceded the opening goal of the match after a dreadful error by his fellow defender, Andy Robertson. But Liverpool gained the upper hand in no time and the defensive backline did their job to safeguard the lead. Alisson now has a new task ahead of him as Liverpool face Aston Villa in the Premier League away from home this week at the Villa Park. And apart from Jack Grealish and Conor Hourihane, no one seems to possess a threat to Liverpool’s defence. All in all, this should be an easy fixture for the champions and a clean sheet is expected from Alisson.
Karl Darlow (NEW- £5): Karl Darlow has been in some form lately as he denied Tottenham 11 times to score the winner. That’s right, 11 saves in one match for Darlow earned him 8 pts. He surely compensated for the one goal he conceded as Newcastle successfully stole a point from Spurs last week. The Magpies now face Burnley at home this week which seems to be an easy fixture for the home side and should bag all 3 points.

DEFENDERS:
Timothy Castagne (LEI- £5.7): This man is in a flying form. 3 assists and a goal from him, and he is a full-back! He is a full-back that defends and when needed, attacks as well. A complete player who must feature in your squad every week. The last match against Man City, Castagne assisted Jaime Vardy in scoring, what could potentially be the cheekiest goal of the season. . Very few defenders are as active as him when it comes to contributing to goals. Leicester will be facing West Ham this week. Leicester being on top of the table is expected to win this fixture with ease following their thrashing victory over Man City. But their opponents will be visiting them after beating Wolverhampton 4-0 in the Premier League, which was quite a surprise. Nonetheless, it will be an exciting fixture for sure.
Tyrone Mings (AST- £5): The English defender has been a key figure in Villa’s defense and has been contributing in almost every match one way or another. Last week it was a goal against Fulham, the week before it was an assist against Sheffield Utd. Mings will have a herculean task ahead of him this week as he will be facing Liverpool’s attacking side. It will be a tough match indeed so all we can expect from Mings is to step up as their center-back and not expect him to participate in the attacking side.
Trent A-A (LIV-£7.5): Liverpool is a pro-attacking team that makes you of every player when it comes to attacking. Jurgen Klopp made sure of utilizing pacey wingbacks for this and one of them who have been consistent is Alexander-Arnold. Last week against Arsenal, he assisted Robertson to score the tiebreaker. Although expensive, he is one of those defenders that will benefit you either with his defensive qualities or his offensive abilities. Not to mention he is also the primary freekick taker of his team. Having Trent in this week’s Fantasy Premier League squad would be a plus sign as they face Aston Villa on Sunday.
Gabriel Maghaleas (ARS- £5.1): Arsenal’s defender in-form surprisingly did not feature in their last fixture against Liverpool which saw the Gunners face a hefty blow as they blew away a 1-0 lead in a matter of few minutes due to poor defense. The Brazilian has been a key player in Arsenal’s defense since his arrival from Lille this summer and continues to impress with his wholehearted performance. It’s highly likely that after the howler at Anfield, Mikel Arteta will play Gabriel again this week against Sheffield United.

MIDFIELDERS:
Kevin De Bruyne (MCI- £11.6): His performance was not as influential as anticipated last week. Nonetheless, that doesn’t rectify the possibility of the Belgian providing the club with his attacking prowess and we all expect him to bounce back this week. Man City will travel to Elland Road this week to face Leeds Utd in the Premier League. Truly a David and Goliath match. But wait… didn’t David win?
Sadio Mane (LIV- £11.9): Mane steps up when Liverpool needs an answer. He is slowly gaining his momentum this season and after a blistering display against Arsenal last week, he seems to be ready for more action. Liverpool faces Aston Villa this week.
P-E Aubameyang (ARS- £11.9): We notice a drop in Aubameyang’s value but that doesn’t mean he won’t be of use. Arsenal lost against Liverpool last week as the Gunners’ captain failed to contribute to aid is side but this week they play Sheffield Utd. An easy fixture on paper. The Gabonese are expected to step up and do what he does best; score goals.
James Rodriguez (EVE- £7.7): The Columbian international is in a rejuvenated form under Carlo Ancelotti as Everton crises with their 3rd straight victory and maintaining a 100% record. He seems to have adjusted with his new team and makes key passes at crucial moments. As the Toffees play Brighton and Hove Albion this week, it would be a wise decision to choose James for this week’s squad.
Andros Townsend (CRY- £5): Here’s an undermined player who has been consistent so far for the Eagles this season. Andros Townsend has been a busy midfielder contributing in both, attacking and defending with a goal and 2 assists. Wilfried Zaha* can also be considered but if you are considering including some of the above-mentioned players then you ought to add him to your squad. Crystal Palace will face Chelsea this week at Stamford Bridge which will be an exciting match. (*If you already have Zaha in your squad then no need of replacing him; might as well add Townsend if low on funds)

FORWARDS:
Patrick Bamford (LEE- £5.8): The Leeds striker has been pretty consistent for his side with a total tally of 3 goals and 2 assists. He is very much affordable. If you have spent heftily on your midfield and there is no reason why you shouldn’t include him in your squad. Although, in a more realistic approach. They are facing Man City this week which will be a tough defense to crack it’s a gamble in the end.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin (EVE- £7.4): This player is in a phenomenal form. The young English striker bagged a hat trick against West Brom and has scored in all 3 matches so far. He continued his stunning form by scoring a hat trick against West Ham in their latest EFL knockout fixture. A player that must be retained for this week as well and if you don’t have him in your Fantasy Premier League squad yet, have him!
Alexander Lacazette (ARS- £8.5): He scored the opener in last week’s fixture. But he missed key opportunities to bring the Gunners on the winning side. But in retrospect, Lacazette has been in a consistent form as of late with a goal in all 3 fixtures. Liverpool being the champions certainly outdid the French striker but this week, Arsenal faces Sheffield Utd, an easier opponent. This can result in being one of the fixtures where he can perform well and regain his confidence.
Danny Ings (SOU- £8.4): 3 goals in his last 2 games. Ings are expected to replicate his form from last season this time. Southampton faces West Brom this week, which seems to be a good fixture. If you want to ensure easy points, you might consider having him in your squad.

FINAL SQUAD OF PREMIER LEAGUE GAMEWEEK 4
GK: DARLOW (£5)
DEF: MINGS, CASTAGNE, TRENT A-A (£18.2)
MID: DEBRUYNE (c), MANE, RODRIGUEZ, TOWNSEND (£36.2)
FOR: CALVERT-LEWIN (VC), LACAZETTE, INGS (£24.3)
HEADS UP!!
Manchester City has signed defender Ruben Dias from Benfica this week for £65 mil
Jamie Vardy is still tentative to play this week with a hip injury putting doubts in many minds. It is advisable to wait till the deadline day for an update from the club. So remove Vardy and get Ings and make him captain.
Jordan Pickford (EVE) and Bernd Leno (ARS) are also good options for the keeper if none of the advised keepers are available.
For people who have Aubameyang, retain him in this week’s squad a make him captain. He is expected to perform well this week. In fact, try to retain Arsenal players for this week.
Nelson Semedo made his debut last week for Wolves against West Ham. His debut performance was nothing special but giving him time to adjust is probably a smart thing to do. He is a pacey fullback who can also be utilized as a wingback. Perhaps Nuno Espirito Santos has a plan for him in mind.
This is the final week of the transfer market which means many clubs will be expected to bring in new talent by deadline day. Stay tuned!!
